Mayor Pro Tem Ryan Baldino is an attorney with over twenty years of experience specializing in construction and real estate litigation. After graduating from UC Riverside with a major in Sociology and Law & Society, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco.

Since moving to El Segundo, Ryan has dedicated years of service as a community volunteer. For fourteen years, Ryan served on the Planning Commission, where he worked on large development projects and oversaw the re-zoning and updating of the various El Segundo specific plans. He is also a longtime supporter of the El Segundo Unified School District, most recently serving as the Chairman of the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee for four years. Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife Kara and cheering on their two sons as they represent the El Segundo Eagles on their ESHS sports teams. Ryan began serving his first term as a City Councilmember on December 13, 2022 and was elected Mayor Pro Tem on December 17, 2024 by his fellow Councilmembers.
