DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Get Ready to Shakeout!&nbsp;</strong></p><p data-start="133" data-end="415">Join us for the <strong data-start="149" data-end="167">Great ShakeOut</strong>, California’s statewide earthquake preparedness drill! On this day, millions of Californians will practice how to protect themselves during an earthquake. At 10:16 am on October 16th, we’ll take part in the drill by practicing the life-saving action:</p><p data-start="133" data-end="415"></p><p data-start="417" data-end="447"><strong data-start="417" data-end="445">Drop, Cover, and Hold On</strong></p><ul data-start="448" data-end="662">    <li data-start="448" data-end="515">    <p data-start="450" data-end="515"><strong data-start="450" data-end="458">Drop</strong> to your hands and knees to prevent being knocked over.</p>    </li>    <li data-start="516" data-end="621">    <p data-start="518" data-end="621"><strong data-start="518" data-end="527">Cover</strong> your head and neck under a sturdy desk or table, or with your arms if no shelter is nearby.</p>    </li>    <li data-start="622" data-end="662">    <p data-start="624" data-end="662"><strong data-start="624" data-end="635">Hold On</strong> until the shaking stops.</p>    </li></ul><p data-start="664" data-end="895">This simple drill helps us build muscle memory so that in a real earthquake, our response is automatic.
