SUMMARY:Fire Plan Check Review
DESCRIPTION:The El Segundo Fire Department, Fire Prevention Division, has re-started the counter plan review services at the El Segundo Building Safety counter. For July, we are available on the following dates and times:
• Wednesday, July 22nd, 8:00 to 10:00 AM
• Tuesday, July 28th, 8:00 to 10:00 AM
A couple of things you need to do if you are going to do a counter plan review and help make the process a touch less as possible:
1. The El Segundo Fire Department is only performing fire protection plan reviews at the counter.
a. Please see the attached notice “ESFD Notice on Plan Review Limitations” on what we will look at.
2. We will not be rechecking electronically submitted plans at the counter. Electronic submitted plans must stay in the electronic submittal and review process.
3. Before coming to the City, complete a “City of El Segundo Planning and Building Safety Department, Permit Application” and submit online to permits@elsegundo.org. A copy is attached. Advise in the e-mail you are bringing plans in for fire protection counter plan review.
a. This will reduce the time spent at Building Safety. Your permit number will be pre-assigned and you will only need to hand off the plans to ESFD for review and pay the fee by credit or debit card at the end.
