El Segundo Residents are invited for a Hyperion Operations briefing, Q&A, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant, the largest wastewater treatment facility in the Western United States.

This guided tour offers a unique look into the intricate processes that transform millions of gallons of wastewater each day into a valuable resource for Los Angeles. Visitors will walk through key parts of the facility and learn about the advanced processes used to protect public health and the environment. Following the tour, visitors will go to the Environmental Learning Center (ELC), for interactive exhibits and presentations.

This event is for students, educators, community members, and anyone interested in environmental science, public infrastructure, or the the City of Los Angeles’ sustainability efforts.

Safety and Security Notes:

• Enter at Gate C, located at 12000 Vista Del Mar Playa Del Rey, CA 90293.
• Make sure everyone wears closed toed shoes.
• Upon arrival, visitors will need to provide security with a current, non-expired, government issued ID in order to be granted access.
• Parking will be available in the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) Visitor's Parking area.
• The tour group will meet on the first floor of the ELC.
• A tram will be used, but most of the tour is outdoors and includes walking.
• Anyone 9 years of age or older is welcome. All participants must be registered.
