With an estimated completion in March 2020, the Washington Park Playground is getting an upgrade! The kiddos are sure to love the new nature-themed play area with separate structures for kids ages 2-5 and 5-12. The feature of the playground will be the red rope climbing structure, nearly 18’ tall, which will encourage imaginative play through the use of geometry. Boulder will be placed throughout the surface area which will be synthetic turf colored to resemble a river, also stirring up the imagination. New picnic tables, benches, and landscaping will round out the design, and shade canopies will keep the play surfaces cool and reduce exposure to harmful UV.
